About In The Field Rescue

Our story, our Mission

We rescue, adopt, gentle and train our equine friends in need.  We do so in a gentle manner with upmost respect for the animals, in the safest way possible for them and us, the volunteers and handlers.  We use a heart centered approach that will allow us the build long lasting relationships.

We were considering such an entreprise for a few years and we were just starting preparation for it.  But our first horses rescued were in dire and urgent need of adoption from animal control.  They were welcomed at our location in the nick of time.  With the preliminary help of the Possi volunteers and animal control, they went from what appeared to be a certain the end for them to a second chance.

Volunteers from the Possi trailered the rescued horses to us.  We scrambled but met the chalenge.  Two trucks of hay, grain, vet care, treatments, supplements green pastures, shelters  as well as tons of attention was provided.  It was heart warming for everyone involved.

In the future we plan on future rescues when our facilities, volunteers time and abilities permits us to handle additional equine friends.  it’s likely that they will come from the BLM, animal rescue or the possi.

Our Facilities

Pastures with room to roam designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment while giving the animals a sense of freedom. We restrict the numbers of animals under care in order to maintain maximum comfort and match the level of attention necessary to provide the highest level of care to every animal we rescue.

365 days a year our team is looking after the welfare of the animals with love and compassion.
